I bring over 15 years of dedicated service in the Army, including 8 years as an Air Traffic Control Specialist and 7 years as an Army Officer and Chinook Helicopter Pilot. I have over 1,000 hours of flight experience and have served as an Instructor Pilot, training and mentoring my fellow pilots. I have deployed once to Afghanistan and once to Iraq, where I was the detachment commander for my unit. I have served in various levels of leadership in the government and private sector. I am a professional leader and aviator with extensive experience in aerospace and defense, engineering services, financial services, program management, and consulting. I helped found and am currently leading Oklahoma Defense Technologies as the Chief Financial Officer. We specialize in providing engineering services and contract consulting to both private industry and the government. I have an insatiable curiosity and love spending my time learning about new and exciting topics. I am interested in data analytics, real estate and stock investing, lean leadership, podcasting, online gaming, aviation, and many other topics. I have a proven track record of handling stress under pressure and thrive in complex situations. I am a big idea, imaginative team member who works best with down-to-earth, detail-oriented teammates to balance me out. I came from an impoverished family, but I've overcome many obstacles to reach the small amount of success I have today. Nevertheless, I have not arrived until I can reach back and significantly impact the community I came from.
