Martin is a Non Executive Director and Trustee. He is a Non Executive Director of UCLH NHS Foundation Trust and a Trustee of The Wild Trout Trust.Martin was previously a Corporate Finance Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He was a Leader of Industry for Central Government and led on UK Public Sector Corporate Finance and privatisation in the Middle East. He has worked closely with government, bringing commercial skills for 25 years. He has strong experience of advising UK public sector entities on corporate and financial partnerships with the private sector, often through the creation of innovative market leading structures which allow them to become part owner or supplier. As such he has deep experience of managing complex stakeholder groups with multiple objectives and involving ambiguity. Martin has advised on major outsourcing projects for Royal Mail, strategy, outsourcing and disposals for the Department of Transport, JVs and outsourcing projects for the Department of Health and a wide range of work for the Ministry of Defense, the Home Office, the Financial Services Authority and the Shareholder Executive (UKGI). Earlier in his career Martin advised on the creation and letting of the initial passenger rail franchises.Martin is a former investment banker. Before joining PwC in 2000 he was in the Corporate Finance division of Samuel Montage (now HSBC). Prior to this he worked in the Corporate Finance division of Arbuthnot Latham, the London private and merchant bank.
