I have been a performing artist for 16 years. I was trained classically at the Royal Northern College of Music where I completed my Bachelors and Masters degrees both specialising in solo piano performance, with minor modules in composition and chamber music. Since graduating I have had a portfolio career working as a performer in the cruise line industry, as well as composer and recording artist. In 2014 I began working with Ameritz, a music label based in Warrington. Together we produced over 100 recordings of both original piano music, and classical and contemporary piano covers, which were introduced to the digital streaming market from late 2014 onwards. Within this venture I released my debut original album ‘Plexus’ which was followed by an EP entitled ‘Evergreen’ in 2017 which was recorded with the Up North Session Orchestra. In late 2020 I self released my second full length album entitled ‘imitating life.’ Since it’s inception into the digital streaming market my catalogue has been streamed an estimated 200 million times across all streaming platforms. As a performer my highlights include; a six concert run of my own show entitled ‘Debussy and Ravel: Earth and Water,’ which took place at Petersham Playhouse and was a ‘synesthesia’ lecture recital which looked at the similarities and differences between these two post romantic French composers. This show which featured a complete performance of Ravel’s ‘Gaspard de la Nuit’ was positively reviewed in the New Statesman. Numerous concerto performances with amateur orchestras around the U.K. More than 100 classical recitals given onboard various cruise liners from 2013 to date. I have worked both as a soloist and alongside composer and saxophonist, Jennifer Watson. 21 run show accompanying a show called ‘Dr Quimpugh’s Compendium of Peculiar Afflictions’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Fest.
