About Martin Jarvis

Resilience Team SAR Commander with Bristow Helicopters on the S92. This follows on from a 24 year career with the Royal Air Force. My final tour was as Officer Commanding 202 Sqn, proudly bringing to fruition the delivery of Search and Rescue training at RAF Valley on behalf of UK MFTS. I was also fortunate enough to operate on all three RAF Sea King SAR Squadrons (22, 202 & 203 Sqn) as well as 5 detachments to the Falkland Islands (1564 Flight). Ended RAF Search And Rescue as Officer Commanding of the RAF Search and Rescue Operational Conversion Unit, responsible for the training and development of all Pilot and Rearcrew students, as well as the task of re-writing the RAF SAR Standard Operating Procedures. Experience in instructing in all Search and Rescue procedures and environments, including over land, over water, mountains, low level, poor weather and NVG. Proudly served with the Royal Brunei Air Force as Officer Commanding 14 Blackhawk Squadron, responsible for the training, development and progression of all ab initio and operational Aircrew on the newly acquired Blackhawk S70i helicopter. This involved transitioning the Squadron from an Operational Squadron to a training Squadron, creating doctrine, instructor specification guides and all supporting documentation. My role also saw me as the SME for Search and Rescue, creating a bespoke SAR course for the Royal Brunei Air Force.
