I have worked an array of jobs in my young life, but am focusing now on industry-relevant experience for sports media. Currently I am interning for the Athletics Communications Dept. here at UMass working in the press box at games to get authentic experience. I am also contributing for school newspaper Amherst Wire and sports blog Sports Daily Gameday Insight. Last year at my previous institution, the Catholic University of America, I worked as a marketing associate for the Biotechnology Masters Program, helping seek out new candidates for the program. I have a great amount of experience in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher for two years at a local bar, and started waiting tables at Cracker Barrel this summer. I am also experienced in landscaping, working for the Holyoke Water Works for the past four summers. There, I have become proficient in weed whacking, operating larger mowers, and other landscaping equipment. In high school I developed leadership skills and personable communication as class president and sports editor.
