The Council found itself working with an outdated SAP system that no longer met its future needs. To address this, the SAP Improvement Program was launched in October 2021, with the primary goal of identifying opportunities for the Council to extract greater value from its historical and existing SAP investments. I was responsibility for implementing significant changes across the Council. This included introducing a new purchase requisition process to bring the Council in line with its purchasing policy. Simultaneously, I undertook the design of a modernized asset management system and associated processes. This encompassed the overhaul of B2B and GIS integrations, as well as enhancements to asset mobility and inventory management. Throughout this entire process, the overarching focus remained on standardization and harmonization of SAP systems and processes across all asset departments.

The SAP Improvement Program was initiated in Oct 2021 to drive the recommendations of the Councils & SAP Value Roadmap. The first initiative and the foundation of the SAP Improvement Programme was to upgrade the current SAP system to S4/Hana 2020 to ensure that the implementation remains supportable by the vendor and allow the SAP Improvement Programme to take advantage of the new functionality from the upgrade.

The 2023 Census Programme is a large and complex programme of work, which is considered critical to New Zealand. Following the 2018 Census, there was a need to significantly rebuild trust and confidence across New Zealand whilst delivering on the needs of Maori/iwi as well as making it easier for everyone to governance structure, support systems and processes to deliver a successful 2023 Census, following several government reviews.

Reporting to the CEO with responsibility for rebuilding and restructuring the design and development department into a “centre of excellence” with our customer at the forefront.

Recruited initially to transform the project management and PMO processes and procedures across the company. Advanced quickly to duel role to help stabilize the financial positioning of a $6 million annual loss and deliver a new LiNX, world leading modular control system within 30 months.

Promoted to ICT Delivery Manager with responsibility for an annual spend of $29 million and accountability for the overall effectiveness, leadership and strategic direction and delivery of the ICT roadmap across Meridian.

Provided services to the Retail leadership team on project and business governance and controls across a $6 million portfolio. Accountable for 4 direct reports providing centralized financial, deliverable and project management support.

Recruited as a contractor to restructure a failing project which was late and had delivered few results. Reporting into the Assistant Chief Constable with a budget of £2.5 million and the responsibility to turnaround people, process and technology to deliver a new 999 command and control system across Merseyside in line with their new IT strategy.

EDS GFS was an international service organisation which delivers quality on-site multi-vendor services for major customers throughout the UK and EMEA. Promoted to transform the professional service capability with P&L responsibility of £15 million.

Served as a Strategic Change Manager to deliver executive strategy to transition in $200 million (tcv) across 50 accounts within 2 years.
