Manage a commercial real estate portfolio with exposure over $250MM.Underwrite renewals up to $50MM.Assess prospective client's viability for credit and recommend credit decisions.Define deal structure, credit terms/conditions, and financial covenants. Prepare Credit Requests. Complete annual Regulatory / PD/ LGD ratings for each account. Prepare annual Construction/Stabilization Reviews for construction projects. Collaborate with Credit Analysts and Relationship Managers. Focus on continuous learning to stay current with changing market dynamics.

Support the Relationship Manager in monitoring customer performance to determine that a loan is an acceptable risk.Support the Department Manager and Relationship Managers in sales and credit underwriting efforts including industry and company research, document preparation, and assisting in the sales proposal process.Complete all requirements of loan bookings, to include all preparation, review, documentation.Develop a working knowledge of all customers, businesses, and prospect opportunities.Responsible for all loan document preparation, including third party document coordination, completion, and review.Collect and review all required collateral information.Assist with the preparation, monitoring and maintenance of projections.Review current account status to include past due accounts and notes matured. Make appropriate recommendations for these accounts.

Assemble industry and market information to support ongoing portfolio monitoring, underwriting, and approval of credit exposure.Assist with the preparation of underwriting approval documents, including data input, ordering appraisals and environmental reports, filing due diligence and other information.Monitor receipt and tracking of financial statements and other reporting and due diligence requirements.Assess and monitor covenant and borrowing base compliance.Assist with portfolio review preparation and risk rating assessments (regulatory and PD ratings).

Serve as main communication point as it pertains to loan status, loan scenarios, and credit guideline criteria.Maintain knowledge of Fifth Third Mortgage Company policies and procedures, in addition to private investor and portfolio Credit Policy and Guidelines. Train clients on Fifth Third policies, procedures, and systems. Resolve client inquiries and issues in a timely manner. Provide feedback and support to both Sales Executives and Correspondent clients. Review and manage pipeline to ensure maximum pull-through. Work with clients to clear any outstanding tasks and deliveries.

Examine mortgage loans prior to purchase for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with underwriting guidelines. Purchase or reject loans that do or do not meet Fifth Third standards.Correspond with clients to clear errors.

Compare and verify that all of the closing conditions listed on the closing instructions are complete and contained in the file. Identify any abnormalities with the closing package and process.Update the Mortgage Loan Origination System to reflect the accurate findings of the closing conditions.Communicate with client to ensure timely resolution of incorrect and or incomplete documentation.Responsible for expediting the resolution of loan deficiencies by collaborating with various loan origination divisions, title companies, etc.
