About Martin Lyttle

Martin Lyttle is an award-winning Irish stone sculptor. He works only with local Irish stone from local quarries or found stone. He enjoys undertaking both small and large-scale sculpture commissions. His background in geotechnical engineering means he has an in-depth knowledge of geology and skills to site and install large works safely and securely. He has always had a passion for the landscape, the rocks and the soil and the processes that have formed the landscape. It was this strong interest that led him into a career in geology and now in stone sculpting. Martin is particularly interested organic shapes and forms.
