As Founder and CEO at Western Build, I’ve played a key role in the development of the organisation’s operations; strategy, planning and growth management since establishing the company in 1982. A joiner by trade, I’ve been proud to see the Western brand develop over a period of 40 years; evolving from a roofing specialist in its earliest form to holding a leading position in today’s thriving construction industry.Western Build is a shining example of the meritocratic nature of the construction industry, where hard work and attention to detail truly pay off. I have been key in driving the company’s long history in the off-site construction market, and continue to play a steering role as the company expands, adapts and innovates in a rapidly changing industry. In my current role with Western, I lead the organisation in the execution of major corporate decisions, as well as in the management of all operations and resources. I am adept in representing the company as a key ambassador and point of contact with shareholders, government entities and other customers throughout the UK, Ireland and beyond.Today’s construction industry is undergoing an exciting period of change, and Western Build is dedicated to contributing positively to that change. I am fascinated by the wide adoption of modern methods of construction for use in new building projects and the many opportunities it can bring. This includes many of the methods adopted by Western, such as volumetric production and factory assembly as radical alternatives to traditional building.
