Started career with NAC/Air New Zealand in 1976 and after 5 years went to Air Niugini for 3 years managing sales offices around the network. Came back to NZ and worked in the inbound ski tour's sector. This was followed by retail travel roles.In 1995 I secured a role as Operations Manager for the start-up Christchurch Tramway Ltd. This eventuated in becoming a 49% shareholder, and along with a business partner then secured Christchurch Gondola Ltd combining the 2 successful attractions.After we sold the business I contracted various CEO roles including Sport Canterbury, University of Canterbury Student Association and Director of Regional Economic Development at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology. However, being my own boss was my real calling and since 2016 have owned and operated SiS Training & Consulting Ltd. We specialise in training for Seafood Processing, Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) and Maritime Skipper Restricted Limits (SRL) training.
