Initially a part time venture, Unity Promotions was set up to help up and coming DJs find their way into the clubbing scene. We promote various club nights at locations in the South West of England and also developed a clothing range aimed at the youth and clubbing market. I am involved in the building of the Unity brand, designing the company logo and am jointly involved in the general running of the business.

James E James were publishers for the Emergency Services, creating publications such as the 999 Magazine and the Police Diairies. As a Telesales Executive, working out of their Head Office in Liverpool, my role was to cold call businesses from The Yellow Pages, and sell advertising space in these publications. The advert costs ranged from £129 to £1,500.

Key Edge are a national locksmith and plumbing franchise. My initial role as a Telemarkeer was to acquire new business for franchisees. This quickly developed into national account acquisition and management of approximately 50 SME and blue chip companies, generating revenue of approximately £175,000 over a two year period. My varied role also involved the implementation and monitoring of an invoicing and job tracking system, assisting in the production of marketing material, attending client meetings, administration duties, billing and bank reconciliations and continued efforts in business retention and customer service.

Working on behalf of many local newspapers, including The Manchester Evening News, The Daily Echo in Southampton, The Evening Chronicle in Newcastle and The Yorkshire Post in Leeds, my role as a Field Sales Executive was to go door to door in certain residential areas, and persuade readers to have their local paper delivered for a promotional period.
