About Martin O'Connell

Upon graduating in Hotel Administration, he started his business career in the Hospitality Industry, continually assuming roles of increased responsibility in Hotel Management over a 15-year period.After having taken Martial Arts lessons for a number of years, he opened his own full-time Dojo in Toronto in March 1992 and continues to operate and teach classes at his same location. He has earned his 8th Degree Black Belt and is the Sensei of the school.He is a Lifetime Member of the Concept Therapy Institute of San Antonio, Texas, on whose behalf he has taught numerous classes, spoke and been MC at many gatherings and conventions. He also volunteered at this non-profit health and educational organization as Board Chairman (from late 2012) and President (from late 2013), both until the end of 2020, and was unanimously elected to these positions.
