My core expertise is organic chemistry and material chemistry with a passion for reactor engineering and a broad scientific record, such as (bio)polymer chemistry, chemical photocatalysis, and fabrication of advanced materials with technological relevance (e.g., metal-organic frameworks and ionic liquids). For me, it is very inspiring to discover new horizons and to find creative solutions for challenging problems.During my PhD, I developed methodologies for solvent-free photocatalytic syntheses, designing two novel reaction apparatus. Within a research stay at the Indian Institute of Technology, I applied deep-eutectic solvents in organic synthesis. I am proficient in creative, independent project planning and management, and my ability to collaborate and communicate within interdisciplinary and international teams is illustrated by successful joint projects during my PhD, corresponding to 5 peer-reviewed first-author publications and one review.In my postdoc position, I gained profound experience in organic material chemistry, resulting in the first report of ionic liquid microstructure fabrication from vapor phase. In a cooperation with industry, I worked on the isolation of biopharmaceuticals.
