I help manage commercial, institutional, and residential construction projects at Brodie Construction Management, leading our renewable energy and energy efficiency projects and expanding our energy division. I previously managed research construction projects at the Electric Power Research Institute to design, deploy, and evaluate low-carbon building design, attempting to answer the question: How can we make all buildings reach zero carbon emissions? I have a passion for jumping into new and unfamiliar opportunities, and I love to work with my hands, completing the construction of an off-grid tiny house with a team of students at Santa Clara University. Through my experiences, I have grown into a formidable communicator and enjoy sharing research results and my industry knowledge at conferences or even at the local elementary school. I preach sustainability and continue to try and find ways to personally reduce waste and energy, and to help others do the same.
