After leaving the Army in 2002 I joined Hertel UK Ltd. to start an apprenticeship in thermal insulation. This apprenticeship proved invaluable but career progression at the time in this particular field was limited. I decided it was not the career for me and moved into the scaffolding division within the company.

I joined the British Army after leaving Moulton Secondary School, Northamptonshire where I completed basic training and went on to be a member of the 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery. During my time with the British Army I learnt valuable life skills that have helped shape who I am today.
