About Martin Root
I have had a successful 20 year teaching career, teaching IT and Computing to Key Stage 3, 4 and Sixth Form students. During this time I was Head of the Computing Department and then Head of the Business and Computing Faculty. My career path changed slightly in recent years within the same Multi Academy Trust (MAT) where I was responsible for ICT Projects and the MAT MIS (Bromcom) Manager. I introduced several large IT based projects to aid school improvement across the six schools within the MAT, including centralised printing, cashless catering and migration from old an old MIS (SIMS) to Bromcom.I am now looking for looking for a new challenge where I can use my experience, knowledge and skills in both the Education and IT sectors.
