JOB DESCRIPTIONMonthly Financial Reporting• Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial and management reports, including profit and loss account, balance sheet, trial balance, bank reconciliations, and other relevant reports.• Ensure all reports are completed within set deadlines and adhere to accounting standards.Financial Strategy and Investment Analysis• Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct financial due diligence, and advice on the viability of proposed investments.Budgeting and Performance Monitoring• Develop and consolidate the annual budget in collaboration with the management team.• Establish budget controls and monitor performance against established budgets.• Analyze business operations, revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments, and future revenues to provide actionable recommendations.Treasury Management• Oversee the treasury function to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements.• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital management.Financial Analysis and Advice• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights on business operations, revenue generation, and expenditure patterns.• Advise on cost-saving measures, revenue enhancement strategies, and financial implications of business decisions.Business Partnering• Collaborate closely with the sales, procurement & operations department to provide financialguidance and support.Accounting and General Ledger• Supervise the finance department, including daily accounting functions and general ledger activities.Financial Compliance and Controls• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies, procedures, and accounting standards.• Monitor and ensure compliance with tax legislation and other statutory requirements.Team Management and Development• Supervise, mentor, and coach direct reports, fostering a high-performing finance team.
