Currently in responsible charge of nine individuals ranging from new Staff Engineers to Principal Engineers/Geologists. Host meetings and check in with project managers on a weekly basis to ensure reports are being completed by their promised dates. Constantly working with field and laboratory managers/supervisors to create open lines of communication and working by the Core Values of Mid Pacific Engineering.I am well organized which allows me to take on more work within the company. Constantly looking for feedback from others (bosses, peers or reports) to make myself a better manager or to manage specific individuals differently to maximize efficiency.I am not a micromanager. Approximately 80% of the work handed to me is assigned to others. Pathways for individual growth are always available. Constantly challenging everyone to increase their multitasking abilities and their technical knowledge by working on unfamiliar projects. My door is always open for questions and my phone is on always in case someone needs to get ahold of me.I also get the opportunity to educate new staff in the Geotechnical field and assist them on getting through their licensure. Those two items are my favorite part about the job.In addition, I am always completing my Project Engineer duties by taking on two to three projects at a time and managing projects during the construction phase.

In responsible charge of projects covering a wide variety of construction types and sizes. Participate in all phases of a project including; estimates and proposal preparation for Geotechnical work; fieldwork, assigning laboratory testing, and report preparation; communication with client and design team; budget estimates for earthwork observation and testing; and, reviewing of Daily Field Reports from the field technicians and managing the earthwork phase until completed.Have had the opportunity to manage projects during the winter and have provided recommendations on stabilization of saturated subgrades, chemically treating grades and other challenges in constructing during the winter months. Providing solutions to problems for our clients is the most rewarding experience about this work. Currently working under licensed Geotechnical Engineers on Department of State Architect (DSA) projects (Geotechnical Reports and Construction Management) and on Geotechnical/Geohazard reports that will be reviewed by the California Geologic Survey (CGS).Received Professional Engineer (PE) license in January 2019 and plan on obtaining my Geotechnical Engineer (GE) License after the minimum years of experience is obtained in 2023.

Assisting multiple Geotechnical and Professional Engineers with various tasks consisting of; Proposal and Report Preparation for projects covering nearly all construction types and sizes, plan review prior to construction phases, communication with clients, calculating various engineering parameters, drafting, scheduling and performing fieldwork for Geotechnical Engineering Reports. Completed earthwork observation and testing fieldwork in 2016, to assure work performed was in conformance with recommendations from the project’s Geotechnical Engineering Report. Observed and tested work during the beginning of a project with site preparation, to mass grading and underground utility backfill, and ending with pavement preparation and asphalt concrete paving. Performed concrete testing per project plan specifications, saturation checks prior to slab placement for expansive soils, and verified footing depths during the construction of Structural Units. ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I and ICC Soils Special Inspector certified.
