With the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge (AGEC) Manager and a team of Brand Ambassadors, I am working towards creating greater awareness of AGEC within the Department of Basic Education, the Department of Small Business Development, Provincial Departments of Education, and within education districts and schools across the country.AGEC was launched in 2016 and this year we aim to reach 15,000 secondary school students from 1000 schools across the country. AGEC in 2019 will run for a five week period from 1 September to 5 October 2019, and is aimed at developing the entrepreneurial mindset of young South Africans.

Outward Bound South Africa (OBSA) aims to develop in young people the character, will, values and self-belief to live their lives to the fullest and to consistently make the right choices. Internationally affiliated to Outward Bound International, OBSA encouraged experiential learning with the support of highly trained facilitators, abiding by international standards of safely.

I was contracted for a three year period to evaluate to progress towards the establishment of a Centre for African Languages Teaching (CALT) at UJ's Education Faculty (2018 to 2021). The work involved measuring CALT's progress towards achieving 6 identified objectives to improve the teaching of Sesotho and iziZulu at both Foundation and Intermediate Phase of primary schooling. It is remarkable what the Education Faculty has achieved under the leadership of Professor Saartjie Gravett and her management team.

Working on an ambitious project that is a partnership between the University of Fort Hare (UFH), South Africa Partners (Boston, USA) and Wheelock College (Boston, USA) which will create a unique transdisciplinary approach to the field of Early Childhood Development (ECD) in the Eastern Cape and beyond. The project - through the building of the UFH ECD Centre of Excellence at the university's East London Campus - will provide an opportunity for UFH faculty members (transdisciplinary), ECD practitioners in the field and their representative association, as well as government departments (national, provincial and local) to work collaboratively in a way that will support and inform best practice in ECD provision in under-resourced and rural settings. The project also provides a unique opportunity for a research programme that is informed by the community being served.What a privilege it is to be part of this Planning Year, which will lay the foundation for impactful interventions in this critical area of South Africa's future development.
