I am currently Head of Tech at U-Explore, the UK's leading careers guidance company. Since 2008 we have been changing the face of careers advice and provision, developing and delivering cost-effective and impartial careers and employability programmes for schools, colleges, students and parents.We believe that careers information, advice and guidance has to be far more relevant, engaging and purposeful and to this end we have a range of products including the free-to-use 'Start' (startprofile.com)I've been programming commercially since 1983 and with the emergence of the internet in the mid nineties, my attention moved online and extended to youth-aimed music and fitness related e-commerce sites and content management systems as well as authoring multimedia CD and DVD ROM solutions for various clients in the music industry, including the monthly cover mount for music magazine 'Mixology'.As a journalist I've written for various music magazines including 'DJ' and authored a reference book for DJs. During the late eighties and nineties I spent a lot of time in music editing and production, and in the process my DJ mixes gave me a Top 20 single, Number 1 album and appearance on Top Of The Pops as 'Megabass'.I am currently training for my black belt in Shotokan Karate and I'm quite partial to cheese.
