CAPTAIN medical Corps USN-retiredDr. Martin Snyder is a Senior level physician versed in all aspects of Medical Management including Utilization Review, Quality review and oversight, Medical Necessity determination, Coverage determinations and medical policy determinations, including appeals and denials, as well as peer to peer consultations. With over 30 years of medical practice in both the clinical and senior executive leadership arenas, he brings the ability to bridge private sector clinical practice standards with Government regulatory agencies such as Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. In his most recent role, Dr. Snyder was the Medical Director at HealthNet Federal Services/Centene Corp. Veterans and Tricare Programs. He was the clinical subject matter expert for all matters related to medical care provision, utilization management, clinical quality oversight, and clinical medical policy determinations. Duties included acting as liaison between HNFS, their community Network providers and the VA Medical Centers’ Medical Staff and Senior Veteran Health Affairs Leadership. Dr. Snyder is a general and vascular surgeon certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of The American College of Surgeons and is licensed to practice Medicine in Virginia and Connecticut. He is a combat Veteran, with over 20 years service in the US Navy Medical Corps.
