As part of EMC I work with sales and marketing teams to improve their ability to close profitable business. This may include running the team as an interim director, training, or simply carrying out sales audits, to establish where improvements could be made.I was also a Growth Accelerator coach, helping managing directors of high growth businesses to ensure that their companies are fit for the level of sales that they plan to achieve. With 12 clients on the books I work with companies ranging from textiles to call centres and magazine publishing to defence.

Espera Scales manufactures computerised equipment for weighing and labeling food products, on a high-speed production line. Martin Stanton increased the turnover from £500k to £3.5 M over 9 years, and positioned the company as the UK market leader in the sector.

Uckfield

Ran the sales, marketing, and service operation, selling IT-Based time recording and factory data collection systems. Moved the business from direct sales to reseller channels. Responsible for the move from industrial clients to office-based companies, dramatically increasing company turnover and profits.

Worked primarily in the IT and mobile phone sector, and was part of team preparing the IBM PC for launch into 5 European countries. Later worked with Racal Vodaphone on the deployment of mobile telephony into the UK market.

Responsible for selling computers into financial institutions in the City of London. Major sale was to Barings Bank for over £1M.

Specialised in optimising the performance of Honeywell minicomputers, in order to assist the sale of the system.
