Current responsibilities include:• Development of one-dimensional CFD simulations of the engine cooling system using Flowmaster, a useful tool for assessing the characteristics for a hydraulic system before physical parts are made available.• Development of cooling system test rigs for use as validation for computer models. CFD models are then updated using the results from the rig testing to improve accuracy for future use.• Co-ordination of hydraulic testing to ensure work is completed within the timing of the program.• Liaising with power train engineers to define test parameters, agree deadlines and order components.
