Martin has been working at BIMM Institute Brighton for over 10 years developing his teaching and understanding of creative education in various roles including Tutor, Deputy Head of Songwriting, teaching Post Graduates and as Summer School Coordinator. In 2013 he took on the role of Education Manager, mentoring tutors, creating timetables and developing curriculums and learning from his colleagues and predecessor what it meant to oversee and lead teams of highly experienced professionals in BIMM’s creative environment. These skills have been essential in preparing him for his new role as College Principal and ambassador for BIMM. His musical career is as varied as his educational one, producing and performing with many top artists over the last 30 years including; Ronnie Wood (The Rolling Stones), Slash (Guns & Roses), Procol Harum, Andrea Corr, Neol Davies (The Selector), Natalie Imbruglia and BIMM Graduates Dani and Will Wilde. Martin continues to write, perform and produce music in his spare time, working with new band ‘Last Western Lights’, a collaboration of BIMM Alumni and Lead singer from ‘Days of Worth’. He is currently working on a solo album and is the proud father to his 2 sons, Hanan and Harper.
