Started initially as Telecoms Project Manager responsible for delivery of large project with Telecom Eireann. This involved familiarisation with a variety of technologies and the successful deployment of the systems throughout the country.Over the following years, I was responsible for the support and maintenance of the systems and their expansion and upgradeI was responsible for maintaining a close working relationship with client personnel at varying levelsIn 2000, I took on an additional role as Recruitment and Training Manager which involved significant travel throughout the world to assist with technical sales and support of Microsol’s Water and Electricity monitoring systems. I maintained a role as the manager of the Telecoms Business Unit with a small staff of three persons.We continued to achieve significant sales over the coming years and became a key part of Microsol’s revenue stream.Microsol was eventually sold to a large multi-national company specialising in the Electricity utility and the Telecoms sub-unit was subsequently wound down after I left Microsol for Monitronix Europe in March 2008.
