As a Workplace Integration and Partner Officer at Vision Ireland, the national sight loss agency, I advocate and support increased participation in the workforce for people who are blind or vision impaired. I have been in this role for more than 3 years and have a strong passion for diversity, equity, and social change.I leverage my communication, presentation, and active listening skills to build positive relationships with major business and community partners, such as Pfizer, Circle K, UCC, and CPL, and to deliver in-person and online awareness training for internal and external stakeholders. I also conduct research and write successful project funding proposals, gathering information on the accessibility, diversity and inclusion standards in the EU. I hold a First Class Honours Higher Diploma (NFQ Level 7) in Youth and Community Work from University College Cork and a Master's Degree (NFQ Level 9) in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Zadar, and I continue to upskill professionally.
