Martin was MD, BT EngageIT, a UK based IT Solutions business focussed on delivering IT Infrastructure, manged services, hosting and cloud computing to commercial and pubic sector organisations. Following Martin's role at the head of an AIM listed Redstone plc he was offered the opportunity of building a leading IT business for BT plc as part of BT's strategy to build future revenue streams for its B2B business.He views this new role as a challenge on many fronts - developing an entrepreneurial business in a very large corporate whilst at the same time managing the growth of the business so that it delivers consistent results

Martin became CEO of Redstone in June 2005 after completing a reverse takeover of Redstone plc, a loss making small cap Telco, by his venture capital backed ICT company, Xpert Group Ltd. Following the take over, Martin restructured the business, taking out £8m in costs and transforming the business into profit within 3 months. He has since grown the company from declining annual revenues of £40m to one of the sectors most aggressively growing consolidators with revenues of circa £180m within 18 months. His acquisitions to date have included: Reverse takeover by Xpert April 2005, Symphony Telecom plc July 2006, Tolerant Network Security July 2006, IDN Telecom plc January 2007, Comunica Holdings Ltd February 2007. Redstone now has an enviable capability for IT & Communication solutions within the marketplace and has won some recent high profile IP convergence projects such as Royal Ascot and Lancashire Schools BSF

Prior to Redstone Martin was CEO of Xpert Group Ltd, a role he held from February 2004 after joining the Xpert Group Board in April 2002 as Group Finance Director. Martin was brought into the Xpert Group by its major shareholders, Lloyds Development Capital Ltd and was pivotal in turning around the group that had previously been loss making.
