I founded Alice during summer 2015. At Alice, our purpose is to create change that makes Ireland – and the world – a better place. We do this by delivering ambitious communications campaigns for our clients. Since our establishment, we have successfully delivered campaigns on gender equality, reproductive rights, climate action, integration, children’s rights, employment and training, LGBTQ+ rights, health awareness and more.With offices in Dublin and Belfast, we work with clients throughout the island of Ireland – and beyond. Our clients include charities and advocacy groups campaigning on important societal issues; public-sector bodies; national and international research and innovation organisations; membership associations; social enterprises; and cultural festivals and major public events. We are a member of the Ultra-European Network of Pomilio Blumm, a leading citizen communications company, headquartered in Italy and with partners in almost 70 countries around the world.

The WorkEqual campaign aims to challenge gender inequalities in the workplace. It is centred around a month of activities each November, including Equal Pay Day, the day on which women in Ireland effectively stop earning, relative to men, because of our gender pay gap of just over 14%. I developed the concept for and have managed the WorkEqual campaign since its establishment in 2016. The campaign has led to the established of the Oireachtas All-Party Group on Workplace Gender Equality, for which Alice provides the secretariat. The Honey Partnership is a global communications consultancy that helps brands grow and globalise through social-led strategy and marketing. I worked as a PR Consultant for The Honey Partnership, devising PR strategies and campaigns for their clients in the Irish market. The Honey Partnership and Alice PR & Events continue to collaborate on projects, where relevant and possible.

As Executive Director at DHR Communications, I managed a range of key client accounts, as well as contributing to business development, personnel management and strategic planning.

As an Account Director at DHR Communications, I managed a range of client accounts, including the National Library of Ireland, the National College of Art and Design, Silicon Republic, Threshold, the Helix Health Pharmacist Awards and Africa Day. Key responsibilities included:- Devising PR and public affairs strategies for clients.- Project management, including planning and delivery of major client events.- Media training.- Advising on crisis communications.- Development of online PR campaigns.

I worked as Senior Account Manager, providing PR, public affairs and event management services to a wide range of clients in the statutory and not-for-profit sectors, including the Digital Hub Development Agency, the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, Irish Aid, Threshold, Clúid Housing Association and Active Retirement Ireland.

Delivery of a series of guest lectures to undergraduate Psychology students for Media and Social Psychology modules. Topics covered included: non-verbal communications, presentation skills, evolution of the media, how the internet has impacted on traditional news media, social media, cyber bullying, online shaming, and future trends in online communications.

During spring 2014, I delivered a number of lectures to students of the Diploma in Digital Communications for Business at Griffith College, Dublin. The lectures were delivered as part of their PR module, and focused on topics such as: social media in PR; NGO campaigns; crisis communications; presentation skills; event management; and arts PR. I also assessed students on their assignments for this module, including group presentations and individual written assignments.

Duties included website maintenance and development; producing toolkits for use by local election candidates; logistical support for election campaign activities; producing and editing membership newsletters; developing materials for use by primary and secondary school students (CSPE module); event management support for major national fundraising events.

Duties included researching and writing articles on public affairs, political and legislative developments for the bi-monthly Public Affairs Ireland journal; design and print management of same; editing and proof-reading articles submitted by external contributors; organising and conducting interviews with leading figures in Irish public life; producing a weekly 'Oireachtas Update' e-bulletin.
