Designed and carried out a research project on the 2012 Olympic Site in London that contributed to the subject and the importance of communication within working environments. Bovis Lend Lease programme manager at the 2012 Athletes Village commissioned the project.

Monitored and evaluated the progress of a construction project building police stations, reported to policy makers in order to adjust procedures towards the strategy. Implemented measures to accelerate the completion of the project and negotiated new time frames and payment schedules for local contractors.

Implemented and managed a large multi site construction project of 600 houses and hospitals in Sri Lanka during the civil war.I developed and successfully led an outstanding team of 25 people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and managed the profitable completion due to efficient planning, risk management, highest flexibility and successful negotiations with local political authorities, contractors and consultants.

I evaluated construction projects processed by GTZ within the reconstruction programme after the earthquake of 2006. I provided detailed recommendations to strengthen internal capacities for stakeholders (NGOs, local government) with regard to the physical and organisational quality management process.

I supervised shop refurbishment with the highest quality standards for high-end brands, such as Burberry, Porsche Design, Hugo Boss in Europe. I was responsible for budgets, time and quality management, and ensured customer orientated liaison. I was the leading mediator between architectural designers and contractors.

I initiated and guided a needs-oriented professional education program for teachers and students. I conceived and supervised an income generating strategy for the training centre, through merchandising its products.

As an active partner I developed a distinct entrepreneurial approach within the company and managed negotiations. I developed the companies’ high quality standards, and gave direction to construction teams and training to apprentices. Contributed to cultural change and the subsequent development.
