UK Export Finance is the UK’s export credit agency, helping exporters and investors by providing credit insurance policies, political risk insurance on overseas investments and guarantees on bank loans. UKEF is a ministerial department. Primarily working on our shorter-term bank guarantee products, one of my significant achievements was in 2013 completing a £75m deal that saw the first women-only vocational college open in Saudi Arabia. This being led by the expertise of a UK college. In 2014 I led on the relationship with UKTI Education and the wider sector for UKEF regarding this major education project in Saudi Arabia which saw UKEF support over $1bn (£620m) worth of contracts through our product offering.
