Within the framework of Duquesne University Palumbo-Donahue School's "Business of Difference-Making" work with the Advancement Team to identify corporate sponsors and form meaningful partnerships in association with our eight business centers; simultaneously develop real-world projects for inclusion in our cornerstone-keystone-capstone curricular model and perform outreach to corporate and community organizations to build educational pipelines in and out of the School. Currently serve on the Steering Committee of DU's University-wide Sustainability Committee with a focus on building community partnerships with organizations engaging with climate, energy, food security and mobility challenges.

Served as the liaison for the Career Development Center to the Office of Alumni Engagement and Division of University Advancement. Attended regional and national events; networked with Duquesne alumni and friends of the University; worked with the offices of the VP's, Deans, and Directors as well as the staffs of Alumni Engagement & Center for Career Development to determine key priorities. Lead on development and launch of a networking/mentoring platform ("DukesConnect," a Gravyty product) with the goal of building an on-line community of 3,500 users by June 2023. Also served as the Center's liaison to CEDSI, the Center for Excellence in Diversity & Student Inclusion, to the Office of Military & Veteran Students and as staff advisor to the Non-Traditional Student Association.

o Further professionalized a full-service center to meet the career development needs of 1100 liberal arts, accounting, business administration, pre-med and IT undergraduate students.o Organized and energized 7000 alumni to strengthen Thiel College presence in local and national markets.o Built the employer base to offer opportunities across the tri-state area and from the Midwest to the Atlantic Seaboard.o Career exploration, assessment and advising across all majors.o Initiatives included implementation of a four-year career "blueprint" branded as "GPS to Success: A Four-Year Action Plan" which aligned with "2021: The Thiel College Strategic Plan" and the offices of Admissions, College Advancement and Student Life.o Partnered with all academic departments to develop bench-marks for student experiential learning and realized the service-learning and leadership development requirements in the new academic core curriculum.o Taught a junior/senior seminar each semester on career development; taught a freshman seminar on the literature and film of the Holocaust.o Served as founding advisor for the Thiel Cycling Club: in May 2016 led an 800-mile 10-day, 10-rider "Neuroscience Bike Trek" from Thiel's campus in Greenville, PA, to Bowdoin, Maine; later coordinated an additional five trips with both regional and long-distance destinations. Themes have included brain health, elder health, environmental education and women’s leadership. Spinning classes, fundraising, logistics and direction. Also coordinated funding for and student repair of used bikes for donation to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota.

Waltham, Ma

Worked with Career Center staff to design career-related out-reach to the Heller School’s three main client groups – students, employers and alumni; provided periodic reports and statistics on the Heller student employment picture; set the calendar for on and off-campus career events; managed external partnerships with employers and peer policy schools; and evaluated and built office resources in response to evolving student needs. Advised students across all career interests. After hours created two intramural soccer teams for Heller: the Black Mambas (all men) and the Green Mambas (coed).

As Director of Employer Relations for the Heinz College's two graduate schools (School of Information Systems and School of Public Policy) worked with the Offices of Strategic Initiatives, Career Services, Alumni Relations and nine Program Teams to build strategic relationships with organizations. Special focus on health and biotechnology as well as NGO's, and the international development community. Provided career advising, practicum search and support to first year masters students in the Heinz College MSPPM Washington Program.

Directed staff of five FTE's in providing career services training; job and internship search and placement support across four employment sectors; individualized counseling; on and off-site networking and career fair events; employer development; alumni relations; electronic, web-based and traditional resources for approximately 500 Masters and Ph.D.-level students across seven policy and management degree programs.

Directed American side of German Foundation-funded, nine month unilateral graduate fellowship for 20 future American leaders in the fields of business, economics, law, politics, public affairs, & journalism. Simultaneously directed American side of 12 month program for 20 humanities graduates to teach English at university placements in Eastern Germany. Recruiting, screening, interviewing, selecting, orienting for both programs. Event planning, grant-writing, budgetary control, fundraising, extensive alumni development.

Directed American side of U.S. State Department-funded, reciprocal one-year work/study scholarship exchange of German and American college-age youth in conjunction with German partner. Annually placed 100 in-bound German participants in college, host family and company placements in 80 communities across the U.S. Annually recruited, screened, interviewed, selected and prepared 60 out-bound American participants. Cross-cultural training, conflict resolution, seminar coordination, grant-writing, budgetary control, program development; supervised four full-time staff positions, one intern.
