Develop and implement software for the TEMS remote provisioning system, which allows users to remotely provision Network Elements, using command languages (TL1 and PDS). • Implement the software which was primarily written in C++ in a completely object oriented manner. Familiarity with factory methods, singletons, and iterators.• Create and use SQL queries, as the system also provides for database backup and lookup, perform using SQL commands within the body of the code, to interface with an Oracle database • Team lead – lead small groups of developers through the development life cycle, including initiating and coordinating design documents and spread sheets tracking the coding effort. Coordinate the development work, to ensure on time and complete delivery of the project.• Perform integration testing, as the code is tested all the way through to the Network Elements, to ensure that the commands being created by it would be accepted by the Network Elements. • Debug and fix problems, using GDB and XDB. Support field problems called into a customer service center. This work included examining and finding code problems and memory corruptions, fixing the problems, as well as taking the initiative to examine similar code for the same problem. Resultant fixes minimized the cost of encountering these problems later. It also enhanced customer satisfaction in a higher quality product.• Perform investigative testing of Network Element responses to commands and interface with System Engineers to discuss enhancements and modifications needed for requirements to match the analyzed situation. • Obtain experience with development work within Network Elements from many different manufacturers that include Ciena / Nortel OME 6500, Lucent AnyMedia, the Nortel Access Node, the Lucent DMX, the ATT/Lucent DDM2000 OC3 & OC12, the DSC / Alcatel Litespan, and the DSC / Alcatel CS1VL.
