VC backed (£24M) and I was the third member of the buy-in team.•My responsibilities included building a national sales team of 55 Field sales, 6 Sales Managers, 2 National Account people and the necessary support team from scratch.•In the first year the team put on £3 million in new service business with a gross profit of 62%.•The main focus has been on the development of the field sales force with procedures, recruitment, product review and achievement of the sales targets•I also looked after the product telesales department of 7 who turned over £2.9 million and produced a gross margin of 45%.
