I seek to make a positive difference in my community, state, and country by actively working to advance critical public services. Currently, I am the elected Bloomfield Township Clerk, I administer elections for 44,000 residents. Why? I ran for this position because democracy is America’s founding principle.Previously, I was elected to the Bloomfield Hills School Board (2005-10) and served as Board President. Why? Because public schools are critical to children, families, and our country as a whole. I am an attorney and I practiced labor, employment, and payroll law for 25 years. In advancing the interest of my clients, I authored Michigan HB 4119 and HB 4120 that passed overwhelmingly in 2015 to reform Michigan wage garnishment law. Further, I was the moving force behind creation of the Uniform Law Commission's Wage Garnishment project that resulted in the drafting and proposal of a uniform wage garnishment law for all states to follow.
