I have been privileged over the last 20 years to help many leading organisations in their focus to optimise their supply chains, something that has developed my experience and contributed to my passion for delivering real business value.There is never a time to stop learning, or to stop innovating. Supply chains are under enormous pressure on all fronts, trying to serve sustainability, legislative, disruptive and profitability masters. Standing still is rarely an option.My engagements across multi-industries taught me to look at the world’s operations as planning puzzles. It is surprising how few puzzles there are and how industry agnostic they become when you get to the basics of optimally allocating tasks to resources and demand to capacity. The complexity explodes outward when getting into the extensive detail of how each organisation operates with businesses specific rules and processes. I thrive on dynamic relationships, people who know me tell me that I bring a good balance of energy, knowledge and expertise, but always with an open-minded approach to discussions and a focused determination to get the right solution for my clients. I enjoy the process of finding alignment at all stakeholder levels to achieve both operational excellence and support company EBITDA goals.I have seen operational costs reduced by 5%-20%, resilience to disruptive volatile demands improved and an improved ability to compete. The need for segmented supply chains due to IT/software constraints is historical. The discussions on removing planning silos and embracing fully integrated supply chain planning are empowering, motivating and power my drive for helping continuous business transformation. 20 years on, I am still energised by new discussions, sharing experiences and helping organisations to take a new look at their supply chain, challenge existing practice and capture their DNA in supply chain software to provide a unique, but perfect fit, using a blend of standard software and specific configuration.
