Onwards and upwards. New life, new adventures ahead.After 15 years in top London Ad Agencies (including 9 at the peak of Saatchi’s in the 80’s/90’s) and 16 years running my own Training Consultancy, it was time for a change. Between March 2016 and May 2023 I created The Local, a stunning little MicroPub in a great village with a rich heritage, selling superb local ales to an unsuspecting village, worked with brilliant people and opened up my eyes to new possibilities! I didn’t know what I couldn’t do, so I did it anyway!Met new people, made a whole new set of friends (and more importantly helped them make new friends as well). I added value to the community until the community and the Hospitality Sector fell apart during Covid.We survived Covid for as long as was commercially viable and in May 2023 I had to pull the plug on what was no longer sustainable. Above all, WE MADE A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION AND DIFFERENCE.I’m proud of what I created and move on with my head held high and now enjoy the fruits of my labour. If an exciting opportunity in business presents itself then I may be tempted to contribute passionately. If not, I will ease into retirement as passionately - breathe, read, notice and be grateful for the small things, and smile!So, onwards and upwards!Here's to more years of 'Bloody Marvellousness' as Managing Director of ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
