Martin has a broad range of experience in Information Technology (IT). He's currently applying his experience to help small businesses use cloud computing to reduce cost, increase productivity and improve sales.Having been a small business owner for over 15 years, Martin understands the needs of small business. His first-hand experience dealing with the cost and hassle of IT led him to realize that small to medium sized businesses stand to gain the most from cloud computing. He’s moved his own company completely onto the cloud, learning along the way what’s good, bad and downright ugly.Much of his career has been in software development, creating desktop and web applications for a wide variety of clients. His education in industrial engineering has given him a keen interest in process improvement, which he’s applied to many types of business processes.Martin is an experienced instructor, having taught many courses in software engineering and agile software development. He’s currently developing educational material on cloud computing for small business.Previous roles include IT manager, systems architect, software engineer, project manager, consultant, and technical writer. Martin co-authored the book titled "Managing Projects with Microsoft Visual Studio Team System" published by Microsoft Press.
