My primary responsibility at the beginning of the role was to ensure effective and efficient controls were adhered to in relation to the safeguarding of customer funds in accordance with FCA requirements. Strong performance led to my role evolving to full ownership of the P&L and business partnering for the entire product. This included the following responsibilities: financial modelling, assessment of supplier offers, challenging and influencing key stakeholders on investment decisions and chairing monthly supplier review meetings.

Leading Operational and Finance audit engagements, from planning through to reporting. This included identification of major control weaknesses that led to process changes, for example changes to Business Expenses and Staff Discount processes

Provided support for audits, including SOX compliance, of multi-billion dollar projects for the engineering, procurement and construction of LNG facilities world-wide, including in Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria and Canada. The role required me to identify and assess operational, financial and contractual risk areas and advise on controls to mitigate such risks associated with the projects.
