Over the last 30 + years I have had the opportunity to audit a multitude of companies in a diverse set of industries. When visiting with friends about the audit work I have done I like to tell them that I have been a mile beneath the surface of the earth (auditing a pot ash mine) to 1,200 feet above the surface of the earth (auditing a system of repeater stations) and to many other industries around the country. I enjoy visiting with people and understanding business operations. The services that I provide are focused in compliance and collateral examinations. My experience is grounded in the commercial finance industry where I started after graduating from college as a new field examiner to the position of regional manager and then as a business consultant focused on helping small businesses manage and finance their working capital assets. As a Revenue Agent for the IRS I learned more about the importance and techniques of conducting in-depth interviews and methodologies for performing income statement examinations. My services are provided through Compliance and Collateral Examination Services (ComplianceandCollateralExams.com) where we make extensive use of data analytics to identify patterns, relationships and exceptions in data sets which we describe and investigate to obtain a better understanding of how they might impact our client's relationship with their borrower.Outside of work I enjoy camping, sailing, biking, competitive badminton and getting together with friends and neighbors around my fire pit.
