Passionate programmer and educator. With over a decade of experience in software development, I love solving problems, optimizing code, and making it clean and maintainable. Now, as a teacher in the Multimediedesigner program at Zealand in Køge, I get to share my love for coding with students. When I'm not coding or teaching, I'm spending time with my kids or catching up on programming podcasts and conference talks. Always on the lookout for new ideas and inspiration.

Web Software DeveloperFullrate A/S Dec 2017 - Jun 2020Taastrup, Capital Region, DenmarkWorked on the website, written in Laravel and a ton of Javascript and css.It was a big custom build CMS we maintained and was building features for, to make it easier to quickly update most parts of the website.I also did a lot of work to improve our code quality, our processes and our documentation. We almost followed PSR-2, so I wrote an extension of that to have a documented code style guide. Code reviews was also a process I introduced, I believe that did a lot for our overall code quality, when we all helped each other. I also introduced Vuejs into our project, which helped reduce the code complexity in some areas of our javascript. It was a great place to work, but unfortunately on the 20th of January 2020 it was announced that the company would be closed, and all customers should be migrated to YouSee (Another brand under Nuuday). I was assigned to do any needed maintenance on our website until the 1st of July where the company should be closed down for good. -
Web Software DeveloperAirbit (Formerly Myflashstore) Oct 2016 - Nov 2017London, United KingdomI helped finish a big rewrite of the webapp in Laravel. That included a bunch of admin pages where producers could manage their beats, profile and sales. Two more interesting things I worked on, was a offer system. Where customers could send and offer on one of your beats, then you could message back and forth, give counter offers and accept offers. And then I also started the work on integrating with YouTube Content ID to monetize beats used in content on YouTube. -
Web DeveloperWegottickets Jul 2015 - Sep 2016Oxford, United KingdomWorking on a 10+ years old monolith, containing all the different sites both external and internal.Despite being very old and very legacy, the codebase was at a state with a lot of automation and testing set up. So I got to do a lot of interesting projects, involving automation and testing. Also working with some very skilled developers, where I really felt I learned a lot in the year I was there. This was also my switch to using Linux as my main OS :) -
Web DeveloperIntern1 Aps Sep 2014 - May 2015Århus Area, DenmarkI got to start the development of a booking system they were about to build. I started the project with Laravel 4, but moved it to Laravel 5 when it released. As the new guy, I wasn't part of other projects that needed my time when the project was begun, and I have therefore been the main developer working on the system from the beginning. It has been a great experience to build up the whole architecture of a bigger system, and introducing others to working with a modern framework. One very interesting part has been working out how to implement a discounting system; here I have ended up using the specification pattern to make it possible to put together discounts with weird and complex combinations of criterias to fulfill the special cases of some companies. -
Lab Agent/Web DeveloperInnovation Lab May 2013 - Jun 2014Århus Area, DenmarkAround 2 months after finishing the last project with Innovation Lab, I was asked to make a total rebuild of a multilanguage, multitenant webshop in Drupal. The old version was a Wordpress installation which was "hacked" beyond repair, with the core and modules unable to be updated, and no persons left in the company who had worked on the system. It was my first experience with Drupal, but fortunately I had a talented developer I could ask about problems. Other than that I was the only developer on the project. Throughout that project I got to both love and hate Drupal, experienced the good and bad parts, and learned that my real passion is in building projects using frameworks and packages, rather than working with a CMS.At my time at Innovation Lab I also had the chance to play around with a Makerbot Replicator 2 Desktop 3D printer, and I pretty much ended up being the go-to-guy about 3D printing. Here my education as a technical designer and 3D CAD turned out to be very handy. -
Lab Agent/StudendermedhjælperInnovation Lab Feb 2013 - Mar 2013Århus Area, DenmarkI was hired to be the backend developer in a 3-man team to create Lifehackers (https://innovationlab.net/product/lifehackers).It is a web based game for companies that uses gamification techniques to convey information about health and quality of life to improve the life of the employees. I was responsible for all the backend development and making sure the right data could be accessed by the JavaScript frontend. It was built with Laravel 3 and as many others coming from CodeIgniter I fell in love with this modern and powerful framework. This project was what really got me into programming as a craft. It got me interested in real programming (not the kind they taught at my educations); principles, patterns and architecture of software. -
Technical Designer TraineeNodi A/S 2008 - 2009NæstvedI was helping moving their old 2D CAD drawings to 3D in SolidWorks. This kind of work turned out to be something I did not want to do for a living, but I have become very happy with the 3D modeling skills I acquired.
