Poor communication limits an organisation’s ability to optimise performance. When left unchecked, communication problems can negatively impact employee engagement, client satisfaction and overall public perception, and while technology has advanced our methods of exchange, the challenge remains.Throughout my career in the Education sector, I have resolved these problems by ensuring communication is consistent, clear and concise.I have also introduced communication strategies that encourage openness, precision, honesty, transparency and a healthy exchange of ideas. Actively listening to others and eliminating jargon is key, as is promoting face-to-face conversations, particularly when discussing contentious issues. Not just a teacher but a senior manager, coach, trainer and mentor, I excel at turning others’ difficulties into positives. I do so by sharing my knowledge, creating personalised learning plans and designing innovative solutions to set both students and interrelated departments up for success. Some of the results I have achieved include:► Sufficiently resourced and restructured middle management► Streamlined processes, policies, systems and strategies, enhancing communication and goal attainment► Led teams of up to 35 direct reports, hosted events with up to 1.5K attendees and managed budgets up to $600K► Slashed unnecessary costs (events and transport), saving $75K in total► Guided a major change initiative over 18 months, resolving conflict and fostering positive stakeholder relationsA transformational leader, my strengths lie in cultivating people, growing relationships and nurturing outcomes. I avoid making rash decisions and can assess and evaluate situations quickly. I lead by example and thrive in an environment where I can motivate and empower others. My other skills include:Training Programs | Operations Management | Administration | Event Management | Compliance | ReportingOn LinkedIn to make new connections, feel free to connect with me.
