Poor communication limits an organisation’s ability to optimise performance. When left unchecked, communication problems can negatively impact employee engagement, client satisfaction and overall public perception, and while technology has advanced our methods of exchange, the challenge remains.Throughout my career in the Education sector, I have resolved these problems by ensuring communication is consistent, clear and concise.I have also introduced communication strategies that encourage openness, precision, honesty, transparency and a healthy exchange of ideas. Actively listening to others and eliminating jargon is key, as is promoting face-to-face conversations, particularly when discussing contentious issues.Not just a teacher but a senior manager, coach, trainer and mentor, I excel at turning others’ difficulties into positives.
