- started as a general tax specialist handling VAT , individual and corporate tax issues- later on , my client manager role moved to the corporate tax area - present at the birth of GCMS, a new Global Service Line : represented the Belgian practice in the international EMEA network in an active way . Promoted GCMS in house , attracted new business , coached a team and this in a very flexible way . GCMS has always been a means to respond to business needs and not a standard solution . In GCMS you always came across change , people and workshops !-have participated very actively in the local compliance equivalent of GCMS , called TMCS . It's all about working together with a team with a view of handling the compliance work and the day to day advisory work in a standardized efficient and timely way . Again there is not 1 way of doing as clients differ and the planning window of tax authorities is often very short term ( whereby businesses consider mostly longer planning terms ) -came across different industries , various people and a lot of changes : tax is certainly not boring and you need to jump on a regular basis !

- after a few years of learning I made tax knowledge ,within the Brussels office, more visible to other departments - worked around 5 years at the Antwerp office with a focus on cross border tax work with The Netherlands ( building out) - development of a tax practice team in the Antwerp office ( from 1 to 5 persons)- later on , worked over Brussels and Antwerp offices in view of expansion and looking for synergies between both tax practices
