As Health Education and Advocacy Intern, they are to attend and assist with the Padres en Accion Program where we help children increase their physical activity, nutrition, and well-being. Throughout the school's recesses and lunch, we are in charge of making sure the children are staying active, following rules, and teaching them the ways to a healthy mindset. As Intern, I am In charge of social media posts to have our community aware of what events are coming up, mindful, nutritional, self-care tips, etc.

In charge of leading a team of fellow students who are part of the College of Health and Human Development (HHD) at California State University, Fullerton; the size varies, at the moment, there are 8 other Student Ambassadors. Work with the Assistant Dean of HHD on how we can have our team stay engaged and encourage our undergraduate students within the department to connect with their advisors and resources on campus. Set up monthly meetings with the team and Assitant Dean on how our past month went, inform them with any updates and reminders, prepare for any school events coming up, team building activities, and what to expect in the future. Within this position, it is my job to create schedules for finals week and for the upcoming semester; if a senior is graduating, I interview prospective Student Ambassadors that can be a good fit for the team. Assign special projects and weekly goals for the team to accomplish their larger projects to be completed by the end of the semester; sometimes have meetings with other faculty members and incoming freshmen to make sure they feel seen and at home.

An eight-week summer program that ignites incoming public health workers to gain practice on what it is like working in the field of public health. Within this program, we are separated into groups that focus on a public health issue and another group to present for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention convention. On top of that, we are also placed with an organization around the LA area to be their intern and explore how our supervisors work to help make a change within their community and organization.

Help conduct the Children & Family/Adult Program at Vista Nueva and 39 Western Site! This program involves conducting two classes this summer: Summer Enrichment Program for Children & Introduction to Healthy Living for Adults. On Wednesdays, my colleague and I teach the children at Vista Nueva the five core values: Individuality, diversity, creative inquiry, engagement, and community by incorporating activities inspired by Disney to get the children engaged and learn the importance of being positive within themselves and their community. On Thursdays, the same colleague and I head over to 39 Western to conduct the health & housing curriculum for the tenants on ways to eat healthier snacks, maintenance/hygiene, calming techniques, and more! This will help them ease their mind of the negativity and allow more positivity in their minds as we conduct ways to calm their nerves down, remind them of the importance of eating healthy and give them a safe space to talk.
