Martin’s experiences span from strategic planning to architecture to urban design. As Director of UrbanLab, Martin leads research and analysis based design processes that unite the conceptual and the pragmatic within a strong, coherent vision. Martin has led design projects for universities, cultural institutions, corporations, and government agencies.From small houses to large urban masterplans, Martin’s design perspective encompasses a broad array of innovative, sustainable urban forms that enhance city living with walkable, transit-enabled districts humanized by their natural amenities, and rapidly changing urban clusters within regional ecosystems. Martin leverages design to elevate the quality of our world.Before co-founding UrbanLab, Martin worked for Peter Eisenman Architects, 1100 Architects, and Stan Allen Architects on large-scale public and institutional projects, and small/mid scale residential projects.
