Affiliated with a specialty health and life sciences firm to develop strategic communications for clients ranging from rare disease accelerators to leading academic cancer research centers. Appointed to build and lead the communications function for the global leader in animal health, a spin-off from Pfizer and the 3rd largest IPO of 2013. Designed and implemented the communications model for the newly independent S&P 500 Company. Developed and then launched the Zoetis brand and corporate narrative leading a global team, multiple agencies, and a multi-million dollar budget. Oversaw significant change management communications as the new company moved from Pfizer shared services to its own. Served as core team member for communications planning and execution to restructure the company and eliminate 25% of all positions. Areas of focus included: external, executive, financial, customer, colleague, manufacturing, R&D, and business technology communications; development and governance of digital and traditional communications channels; corporate brand, responsibility and reputation.

Relocated to lead a team of 30 and charged with managing payor and patient advocacy relationships for a $500MM oncology franchise. Developed and executed payor/advocacy strategy to ensure access to novel cancer therapies (Glivec, Tasigna, Afinitor). Aligned market access and public affairs strategies with sales, marketing, and medical functions to build relationships with payors and patient groups.
