CurrentTrendler, Inc. is a manufacturer of high-quality American-made chairs and barstools for the commercial seating industry. After 10 years as VP of Operations, I stepped into the role of President during a challenging time in the company’s history. In addition to overseeing P&L, I was tasked with reexamining Trendler’s operational and product strategies and devising solutions that would allow us to maintain our commitment to quality products and quick service in a market flooded with imports.I currently lead a cross-functional team of 12 and work shoulder to shoulder with the executive team. Together, we executed several large-scale strategic initiatives that boosted margins to an all-time high, nearly doubled sales, and transformed the entire culture of our workplace.Highlights--PRODUCT INNOVATION ► Collaborated to devise and roll out a hybrid model for a “Made in America” classification at a 20% lower cost than domestic competitors. By merging overseas production of select parts with domestic manufacturing, we have achieved a turnaround that is 4-10 weeks faster than any direct import product.PROCESS TRANSFORMATION ► Increased production 10% by implementing Lean principles across several departments. Conducted research on manufacturing models that led to reduction of steps and increased output with fewer staff required.CULTURE BUILDING ► Led major restructure to reward top-performing employees and reduce redundancies. Established an open-door policy of personal support for employees that drove innovation and staff loyalty, with all-time high employee satisfaction.
