I work as an applied theorist interested in corporate finance, corporate governance, organizational economics, and accounting and economics. My papers have been cited, among others, in top journals in Finance (Review of Financial Studies), Management (Management Science), Accounting (Journal of Accounting Research), and Political Science (Americal Political Science Review). My work has been presented, among others, at MIT Sloan, Chicago Booth, Wharton, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Kellogg School of Management, NYU Stern School of Business, and Yale School of Management.

Main responsibilities included strategy, recruitment, evaluations, agenda distribution and control, program development, marketing, and outreach.

My teaching involved an intermediate course in game theory and political economy, and graduate lectures in game theory in macroeconomics and finance. My research covered mainly the strategic interactions between business and politics, including corporate lobbying. During my tenure track, I have published in Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Economics Letters, Journal of Theoretical Politics, The B.E. Journal of Theoretical Economics, Economics & Politics, International Tax and Public Finance, Applied Economics, Letters in Spatial and Resource Sciences, and Review of Economic Design.

My key responsibilities were to restructure and develop all key operations. I have launched a new performance-based evaluation scheme, restructured appointments, and completely reorganized agenda at the Institute. Our new activities (jointly w/other colleagues) involved, among others, new promotion with focused marketing, web reconstruction, and two joint Master degrees.

Managing Editor at the Czech Economic Review. The journal has promoted the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics and served as a focal point for the Central European community of scholars. We attracted articles in both theoretical and quantitative economics, with the main interests in microeconomic theory, pure and applied game theory, macroeconomic theory, mathematical finance, and also in research on the boundaries between economics, statistics and applied mathematics.
