Intellectual property is intangible by definition, but often a valuable asset in a start-up company, and properly used and developed, very useful also in a mature company! During more than three decades, I have worked mainly with small and medium sized enterprises, often having their origin in academic research and the academic milieu. Lately, I have had the privilege of being involved in processes where big pharma use their IP. I joined the IPR field in 1992. Before that, I worked in the biotech industry, holding the position of production manager in a start-up company that was based on an exclusive license to two patented processes. I then joined one of the major Swedish IP firms in Stockholm and was authorized by the Swedish Patent Attorney Society in 1997. I joined Bergenstrahle & Lindvall AB as partner in 1999, and then passed the European Qualifying Examination in 2001. In early 2016, I joined Kransell & Wennborg where I feel very much at home! Specialties: IPR counseling for SMBs in the field of life science. Understanding the conditions for SMBs and start-up companies. Hands-on experience of industrial scale biotech (protein separation and purification).
