Responsibilities included managing and maintaining our relationship with our vendors for the various SAAS products Eos uses to operate. We maintained a hardware stack in a data center in Scottsdale Arizona while I telecommuted from my home office in the Birmingham Alabama area. Managing our local IT services in Scottsdale, we maintained an on-premise Microsoft infrastructure, VMware virtual machines and all services related to backup, replication and maximizing service level for our users.Significant projects included migration of SharePoint 2010 to 2015 as well as replacing an outdated firewall to Dell SonicWall firewalls. Minimizing any real amount of system outage was a key factor to the success of these projects.

As a consultant for The Strategies Group and the training “arm”, The Training Group, I provided consulting services to their clients as well as taught the Sage / Timberline Estimating Fundamentals and Extended classes. Tasks included project investigation and inspection; bid preparation and analysis; contract buy-out; coordination of subcontractors and suppliers; review of submittals, shop drawings, and samples; preparation and maintenance of a construction schedule; preparation of a schedule of values; coordination of progress meetings; problem resolution and document interpretation with project professionals; preparation and completion of change orders; preparation of close-out documents. Additional responsibilities included installing and maintaining a Windows based network system using Timberline Accounting, integration between Timberline Estimating and Timberline Accounting software and development of an extensive cost code system that allowed weekly project financial analysis.
