I was given the chance to become a Senior Software Developer after three months, which meant I had more responsibility for my team and mentoring new employees and graduates.I was then given the opportunity to assist with a major version upgrade to the primary system used by all police officers at QPS, which necessitated compatibility upgrades to many of the existing systems.

Working in the BAU team, I was responsbile for maintaining and improving features to a wide range of systems, of which were all essential to the operations at QPS and other departments.

As the COVID Pandemic settled down, I was asked to return as the sole developer and work on a few a major projects which had just been approved.One of these projects was the Mobile App, for which I was responsible for developing the backend API that enabled members to access their membership card details. During the COVID pandemic, I was able to return to OST and work on some of the more challenging tasks that had accumulated while I was away. I also spent a lot of time writing documentation and recording video tutorials outlining my approach to completing tasks.

After completing my studies, another course professor offered me a position at his company, to help transition from MS Access to more Web based solutions for their wide range of clients.As the only .NET for the majority of my employment, I was in charge of creating the fundamental frameworks that would go as our flagship product. As a freelancer I was working afterhours and weekends in both the hardware and software space. My main responsibilities were creating desktop and website applications, setting up computers and laptops on-site, and investigating and fixing hardware and software problems. One of my major accomplishments was developing the advertisement player software which runs on the screens for passenger viewing on all Brisbane Citycats.

During my studies, I was approached by one of my professors to help add functionality to a CRM system for their biggest client. This saw me developing new UI screens, logic, reports and updaing legacy code.
